"As bikeshare systems continue to rise in popularity in large- and mid-size U.S. cities, here’s a place where you might not necessarily think a shared bike model could take root: Wheeling, West Virginia.
On Tuesday, city officials gathered to announce that this spring, Wheeling will launch a small bikeshare system—the first in West Virginia—with 10 bikes through a partnership with The Health Plan. The bikes will be stationed near WesBanco Arena in heart of Wheeling, a historic city of around 27,000 residents located in the upper Ohio River valley, and is adjacent to to local bike trail networks that follow former railroad rights of way."
