"A Butler County job connection bus route has changed from a fixed bus route between south Dayton and West Chester to an on-demand service similar to Lyft or Uber.

The Butler County WorkLink, a partnership among the cities of Middletown and Monroe, Atrium Medical Center and the Butler County Regional Transit Authority, was designed to bring workers from the Cincinnati and Dayton areas to available local jobs and employers along the Interstate 75 corridor.

It was also the first public transit connection between Greater Dayton RTA, BCRTA and Metro/Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, officials said. Not only could workers from Dayton and Cincinnati connect with jobs in Middletown and Monroe, they could also connect to other routes on the Metro and Greater Dayton RTA systems as well as the Greene County CATS system."
