Webinar: Broadening Understanding of the Interplay between Public Transit, Shared Mobility and Personal Automobiles

May 15, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm UTC-5

TRB is conducting a free webinar on TCRP Report 195: Broadening Understanding of the Interplay between Public Transit, Shared Mobility, and Personal Automobile. Register Here.

This research explores how transportation network companies (TNCs) such as Uber and Lyft are affecting the use of public transit and personal automobiles in several regions by drawing on several sources, including one of the first uses of TNC trip origin-destination data. The webinar will outline key findings and insights from this research about how, when, and where TNCs are most frequently used, and the relationship between this use, public transit usage, and driving commutes. The presenters will also provide a range of recommendations that may assist public transit agencies and other public entities attempting to engage with TNC services in large, midsized, and smaller urban areas.

This report has been one of the highest viewed and downloaded TCRP reports (currently over 5200). The report can be downloaded here: https://www.nap.edu/catalog/24996/broadening-understanding-of-the-interplay-between-public-transit-shared-mobility-and-personal-automobiles
