Taxi replaces bus service for disabled and low-income Crowsnest Pass residents

  • Date: 01/20/2022

The Municipality of Crowsnest Pass is making it easier for disabled and senior residents with low annual income to access essential services.

Its subsidized taxi service offers rides on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help with daily needs, transporting applicants to medical appointments and visits to the bank, hairdresser, post office and retail stores.

Prices are affordable: $4 to be picked up from home, $4 to be returned and $1 for additional stops.

Disabled individuals or persons over 60 years of age looking to use the service must prove they have an annual income under $30,000 if single or under $48,000 with a spouse or partner. They must submit an application to the municipality with proof of residency and income.
