May 24, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am EDT

This event is a portion of the 2021 FPTA/FDOT/CUTR Professional Development Workshop.

Event: Safety Performance Metrics for Small and Rural Transit Agencies

About the Session:

This session is intended for small and rural transit agencies who are looking for an easy, adjustable and flexible method to develop, maintain and implement Safety Performance Metrics. Starting with your agency policy, procedures and documentation, this session will assist you with being compliant with FTA and State requirements. We will discuss the categories to measure, where to start, how and what to benchmark and the steps associated with the development and implementation of a root cause analysis process, ultimately leading to a corrective action plan and implementation. This session will also include input from a peer Florida agency and how they are measuring safety performance applying a “keep it small and simple” method.

Moderator: Stephanie Lewis, CUTR
Presenters: Paul Goyette and Roberta Yegidis, CUTR; and Susan Morin, Citrus County Transit
