  • Date: 07/16/2020

Front-line workers who are at greater risk of catching the coronavirus at work are eligible for additional “hazard pay” of $3 an hour under a federally funded, $50 million program announced by Gov. Tom Wolf on Thursday.

The pay boost would last for 10 weeks, with a maximum of $1,200 per employee.

Those eligible for the hazard pay include assisted living facility and hospital workers, grocery store employees, farm workers and ambulance and bus drivers, Wolf said. The workers must make less than $20 an hour.
