The Falmouth Economic Development and Industrial Corporation will apply for a $50,000 technical assistance grant to develop a master plan for Falmouth Station on Depot Avenue.
“That is really to hire engineers and architects to look at both the transportation-related improvements that we feel we need at that station to accommodate inter-city bus service and some safety improvements,” EDIC director Michael DiGiano said at the corporation’s Tuesday, September 8, meeting. “The second component of that would be to look at some of the vacant land area we have over at the station to determine the feasibility of developing a workforce rental housing project there or low-and-moderate income housing project there.”
