Dakota County offers free bus rides to court, county services (12/30/19). DakotaLink was started because “we were looking for a way to get people without transportation to and from court.” As part of a six-month pilot, DakotaLink provides free bus rides to those who need to get to health appointments and use other county services.

Who says there's no free ride? Grant will get public defender clients to court (10/31/18). Hennepin County (MN) public defender clients with misdemeanor cases in Minneapolis soon can get free rides to court, thanks to a $50,000 grant from the MacArthur Foundation.
